Darryl Cunningham Jr.

I am a seasoned boxer and have been boxing most of my life. I have over 40KOs and enjoy teaching the technique to others, ensuring they learn safely and the proper form.
​
Personal training for over 16 years, working with adults and children as young as 7 years old, I have an ACE certification and received a certificate for completing a program at Beaumont hospital to work with children with disabilities or suffering from injuries.
​
I served in the U.S. Marine Core and learned hand-to-hand combat as part of my training. The Core also helped cement the importance of discipline, consistency, and teamwork. SEMPER FI.

I train my clients at Powerhouse Gym in Southfield, MI.

Why do I PERSONAL TRAIN?
My goal training with each one of my clients is to help change their lives. I love seeing them happy and healthy. I enjoy encouraging them and am overjoyed when I see them build confidence and become a happier person.

Training with children is a great challenge and being a people's person really helps me connect with them and create lifelong relationships. Along with teaching them weight training, offense, and how to stand up for themselves, I see big changes in how their grades improve and am blessed to have been a part of it.

Using my own boxing training and experience, I help my clients learn proper stance, form, breathing, stretching, and different punches and combinations.
We practice offense, as well as defense, how to read their opponent and counter. I help them improve speed, stamina and endurance.

I enjoy group boot camp a lot because it reminds me of the military. No man or woman gets left behind.
